Where in the world are you eating tonight?
Spice up your
summer with a visit to Calgary’s premier outdoor festival of food
and drinks – Taste of Calgary @ eau claire festival plaza. Back for
its 12th year, over 70,000 visitors enjoy a mix of exotic
cuisine from regions like the Mediterranean, North Africa, Asia and
North America – all represented by over fifty of the Calgary’s best
restaurants and beverage companies.
At Taste of Calgary
guests can spice things up with great foods, cool drinks and
fantastic entertainment. Festival-goers purchase Taste Sampling
Tickets for $.75 each right at the event, and use them to buy any of
the food or beverage menu items at the festival. Everything is
sample-sized, including the prices. Every menu item is 4 tickets or
less. Admission to the festival is free and includes a
sampling of Calgary’s extraordinary local entertainers - live on the
Starbuck’s Stage.
Size up your
appetite with some zesty zing and seek out something new . . . Job
Job Kababs (North Africa), Chicken Tikka Masal
(India), Thai Panang Curry with Rice
(Thailand) or, Costels de Porco (Brazil). And, if you’re
looking for something more familiar, there’s plenty of pizzazz in
the infamous colossal BBQ Beef Ribs, Jerk Chicken and the People’s
Choice favourite, Butter Chicken.
Sample
some sippers like the Piñatomic Colada Shake, 3 Olives Blanco
Martini, Pearl Pomegranate Martini, or one of over 40 craft beers
from local and international craft brewers.
Save some room for the most scrumptious sweets like Rum Cake
with Caramel Sauce, Tiramasu or an Old Fashion Brownie Sundae.
Taste of Calgary
isn’t just about food anymore. This year the Taste MarketPlace is
back with an eclectic mix of Calgary’s artisans and interactive
events like the HotWheels experience.
